Nebojsa (Nick) Knezevic, MD, PhD

Nebojsa (Nick) Knezevic obtained his MD, PhD degrees from the University of Belgrade in Serbia and completed his training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He is the Vice Chairman for Research and Education at the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery at the College of Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the current President of the Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Director-at-Large of the North American Neuromodulation Society Board of Directors and in Editorial Boards of many prestigious medical journals. 

Mirela Savcic, MD

Graduated from Medical School University of Belgrade in 1997.

Ranko Miocinovic, MD

Ranko Miocinovic, MD is a board certified Urologist.  Dr. Miocinovic received his medical degree from University of Toledo Medical Center and completed his fellowships at The Cleveland Clinic in Urologic Oncology and Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Miocinovic is currently employed by Duly Health and Care in Western Suburbs of Chicago. 

Dejan (Dan) Glisovic, MD 

Medical Director, Cara Therapeutics

Dejan (Dan) Glisovic, MD received medical degree and completed Internal medicine residency program at the University of Belgrade Medical School, where he acted as Editor in Chief for the medical journal Internal Medicine (InMed). Dr. Glisovic has extensive research experience with clinical trials Phase I through IV in multiple therapeutic areas including internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, immunology (vaccine studies), gastroenterology, rheumatology, neurology (multiple sclerosis) and dermatology. He currently works at CARA Therapeutics as Senior Medical Director.

Aleksandra Popovic, MD

Graduated from Medical School University of Belgrade 1993. 

Completed Internal medicine residency – University of Belgrade in 1999
Internal Medicine Residency , St Francis Hosipital, Evanston, Illinois 2004-2007.
Current position – Hospitalist  at Lutheran General Hospital , Park Ridge, Illinois.

Ljiljana Svjetlica, DMD/DDS

Dr Ljiljana Svjetlica obtained DDS degree from University of Nis in Serbia and DMD degree from University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago. Dr Svjetlica has won Frances Best Watkins award and Periodontics Golden Scaler Clinical Award. Dr Svjetlica is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. She completed advanced training in dental implants, invisalign braces and facial esthetics through AAFE. Dr Ljiljana is the owner of Dental practice Una Dent in Hinsdale .

Vesna Simic, OD/FCOVD

Dr. Vesna Simic obtained her OD degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, and her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Simic is Board Certified and a Fellow in optometric vision therapy and rehabilitation by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

She was appointed adjunct faculty at Indiana University, Illinois, Southern College of Optometry and University of Missouri St. Louis Colleges of Optometry since 2013. Dr. Simic currently serves as President of the Lake/McHenry Society of the IOA and as an advocate for patients by serving on the Public Health Committee of the IOA.
Current position is as full time attending optometrist at Park Ridge Vision leading dry eye and myopia progressive center.
