Dr. Rade Tomic

Dr. Tomic earned his medical degree from the
University of Zagreb and completed his residency
training at the University of Illinois.
He also completed his fellowship training in
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at
Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Tomic joined
University of Chicago Medicine as a Professor and
Medical Director for Lung Transplant in April 2025. Prior to this,
he served as the Medical Director of the Lung Transplant Program at
Northwestern Medicine.

His research focuses on lung transplantation and interstitial lung
diseases. Dr. Tomic has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications
in leading medical journals, including
Science,
Nature,
The New England Journal of Medicine, and
JAMA.
